This may not be the best starring vehicle for either Fred Astaire or Rita Hayworth but the latter is as lovely and enjoyable as ever while the former gets a few scenes to showcase his expected dance moves. The plot is fun, if ridiculous, the supporting cast do good work, and the title song is delightful (and undoubtedly already familiar to many viewers).
classic and iconic and quintessentially 40s in all its glitz and cheesiness. the whole film exists to worship at the feet of rita hayworth. I enjoyed the obvious queerness brought to the movie by Astair and and Schilling (the secretary)- Astair is supposedly in love with Rita when all he wants to do is dance.
