  • AKFilmFan's rating of the film Zatoichi 23: Zatoichi at Large

Despite dealing w/ a baby & a child, this 23rd film starts off very funny. And while this child is the most obnoxious yet, the cast of characters we have to keep up with range from misfire (the festival performers) to engaging (the widowed man). Even if all these characters contribute to many misunderstandings, the final duel doesn't disappoint. There's even a "post-credit" scene w/ a duel that's a real afterthought.
