Drama based on a fragment of Gottfried Keller’s Green Henry. Nine year old Mérette (Ann Bos) believes God took her mother from her, and so refuses to pray. She is sent away to the country. She becomes trapped in a cycle of despair from the local priest’s punishments when she refuses to obey.
