Hideo Yamamoto

“During my first few years as an assistant I had little room to spare, and I was struck by various things on site, including equipment, common sense and manner of photography, and adjustments to the lighting and directing departments. I want to play because I'm young and young. Shoot until dawn, get angry, then go play. I think now that I've done well. So I wondered, 'I'm going to live this job' and 'let's be a cameraman' for about 4 years, when I was a little bit more relaxed.”

    HANA-BI

TAKESHI KITANO (BEAT TAKESHI) Japon, 1997
