Elvira, Mistress of the Dark

Elvira (Cassandra Peterson) has always had a certain charm but at 90 plus minutes wears out her welcome in her feature debut. The humour is usually juvenile at best but does illicit a couple of chuckles.

The eagle-eyed may have noticed Elvira has big boobs. This is why many secondary characters remark upon it throughout the film. Any viewer that missed this trick no doubt missed crucial plot points in turn, and therefore have found less enjoyment. Elvira is a sultry slinky spooktacular thar you simply must see for what it is and isn’t.

I didn't find Elvira appealing before watching this and after watching I didn't change my opinion (Vampira all the way, now and forever!), but as far as Friday night fun goes, Mistress of the Dark was watchable.
