At the end of World War II, German aviator Hans Müller crash lands in Laponia, northern Finland. A Lappish girl, Laila Walk, the only daughter of a reindeer herder, saves him and they fall in love. Laila’s father, Aslak Walk, opposes this, so he sends Hans away. Laila enters a world of sexual abuse.
