Avis des critiques

The end result may feel a bit underwhelming or haphazard because of the free-form plotting, but Reddy disperses so much meaning throughout, whether in wide-angle shots of the surrounding village or a focus on background faces, that the film’s scenic textures become one of the filmmaker’s key interests.

A film that is funny, humane, and seemingly effortless, this young director has coaxed from a massive cast and a specific setting a great deal of character, an evocation of a locality and its society, and wrapped it all in a Renoirian understanding of human behavior. The film is a real pleasure.
