Sad, with some funny, even cute moments. Leaves you to reflect on your expectations and why you, as someone watching a movie about a war, should get closure when the people who really experienced it did not.
This film simultaneously tells a small-scale story while also examining the complete scope of the Lebanon War. While that does create some awkward narrative transitions here and there, it's still an overall emotionally-stirring work. Aractingi's intimate direction and use of documentary footage really transports you into the film's world and creates a lot of genuinely heartbreaking moments.
