I like these slices of life from the past decades told through the medium of non-fiction. They always make me wonder what became of all these people, and this is no exception. A simple doc about ordinary teenagers having fun at the youth club, going to a chip shop and going to work. Probably only for those who are interested in the 50s or past teen life, though.
interesting in the way its crystallized "naturalism" oddly resembles propaganda, depicting life in a very time-direct and uniform manner (fact-filming). // when buildings/avenues/mostly unresponsive people are framed by the camera as the boys pass by with their ""sui generis"" cheering, there is a number of familiar clamors already being lost in a space and age, echoing back to their origin, cloistered in this film.
