A wilderness of ponderers under a sea of high-production-value murk, this wood is less dark than merely dim, a slowly unwinding lugubrium of half-baked truisms treated like profundities, dredged from the Teutonic depths and embodied by store-bought drama-bots. Traurig.
One of the best series I've ever seen. Everything from dialogues to soundtrack to the actors was something else. Don't know very well how to describe this besides "fried my little brains" and it was awesome! Hope the next season will be as amazing as the first one.
Contradicting myself again, i return to a television series, this time a contemporary one. Why? Because it seems to me an obvious example of the standardization and formatting that television narratives has generally become, especially those who are Twin Peaks' "daughters". Cinematography, script, direction and especially editing and sound, the horrible music always marking presence, are a proof of this.
A mindblowing and suspenseful series that is full of great writing and solid acting. It is shot beautifully and the score is stellar. Rarely have I been so captivated by a series as I was with this one.
A consistently inventive story that mixes a murder mystery and science fiction into a puzzle. It really keeps you guessing. I had a hard time understanding who was who, so I watched it again, and that was quite cool.
Squanders its fantastic premise on an abundance of poorly written secondary characters, thus rendering it a headscratching maelstrom of beautiful cinematography, great music, thrilling sci-fi, and highly confusing personal dramas. Hopefully the writing will improve for the second season.
