Jorge Jácome पोर्तुगल, 2017

Jack Glein's rating of the film Flores

Flores is a simple tale that signifies the oppression of a culture using the metaphor of the spreading of a flower. The flower is creatively used in the way that it's perspective, similar to that of a conquerer, varies by depending on viewpoint. The Portuguese, the conquered in this case, view the hydrangeas as negative. Yet, the Dutch, who are not natives to the lands, view the infestation as beneficial to business.
