Jorge Jácome पोर्तुगल, 2017

dionysus67's rating of the film Flores

A disappointing venture which cannot take distance from the main aesthetic device it deploys. Thus, the screen's permeation by the blue-purple colors damages the film's artistic claims because it turns to a fetishistic gesture of stylistic colonization, like the politics the film wishes to condemn. The middle part survives but, overall, the hypnotic reticence is an easy way out of bolder ways to do poetic cinema.
