A horror anthology from some of today’s most visionary genre auteurs. From a very unholy Easter Bunny to a particularly macabre Valentine’s Day gift, Holidays is a full calendar year of festive stories, bringing out the most twisted and subversive sides of each seasonal celebration.

None of the entries really hit it out of the park (though Father's Day comes very close, but its ending needed more clarity,) yet only a few are worthless (Mother's Day and St. Patrick's Day are those exceptions,) while others like Valentine's Day and Christmas have fun, amusing punchlines. The other two are below average, but watchable. The style of this anthology (from various directors) does gel well though.
I really enjoyed Easter, Mother's Day and Halloween. This is the kind of anthology that's harmful yet very entertaining. Besides - any film with a Easter-Bunny-JC-Alien-Creature deserves an extra star. Videomaking horror for the new teens on the block, let them have it!
Like most anthology films, this is a fun mixed bag. Each director(s) has a unique feel of their own and depending on your familiarity, you'll be able to spot them out easily. Kevin Smith needs to stop casting his daughter in everything. I haven't had a problem with Kevin's nepotism before, but it's gone too far. Keep an eye out for Nicolas McCarthy's Easter and Father's Day - easily the two best shorts of the bunch.
