Our take

Renowned lyricist-poet Gulzar makes an equally remarkable foray into direction with Mere Apne. Using poetry, the insensitivity of city life, and the angst of the youth, this film makes a pertinent observation about the tenacious relationship between the economy and social fabric of a nation.
