Such a confusing movie. Went in thinking Wilson’s character was this nice business guy who invested in sure things and then all of a sudden he’s a connected guy and involved in murder and crooked lawyers and it’s all over the place. Sub par Scorsese sub par sub par Scorsese really. Just a prime example of loosely entertaining str8 to DVD fare. I would recommend this to a basic ass movie fan for example
Middle Men is a foul mouth affair, witless characters, a historical romp-farce with loose dialog and misdemeanors that never fully arrive or depart. Scribe George Gallo, best known for Midnight Run (script) on my scorecard, loses momentum her, spends too much time on plot circles that spin out of necessity, tangle plot with adventure-less quarrels where the writing cannot elevate the mess. Pass unless you can't.
