The dream team of Gemini Ganesh, Savitri and Kamal Haasan star in the eighth of A. Bhimsingh’s Pa films—a prominent series in the canon of Tamil cinema. Like most of his work, it’s a family-oriented melodrama which tugs at the heart-strings, but one made exceptional by its scenes of wartime action.
