dionysus67's rating of the film Shoah

A landmark film on the Holocaust this emblematic documentary is not only chillingly revealing on the concentration camps victims' own testimonies (the barber's narration is exemplary and hugely moving) but also an essay on the mechanisms of denial not only by the perpetrators but also from local bystanders. Philosophically, the consequences are immense: the causal void from which radical evil springs. Lyrical horror.
