A late offering from the French director Claude Miller (who was Truffaut’s protégé!), A Secret is a fractured yet beautifully crafted, time-hopping melodrama about one family’s painful history. It was impressively nominated for 11 Cesars, including Best Picture, Screenplay, Director, and Actress!
