French-Canadian director Philippe Lesage’s second feature is a tender three-pronged tale about the anxieties and pain of young love. Premiering at Locarno, Genesis spotlights wonderful performances from its adolescent stars, finding invigorating angles and vivid emotion in a familiar subject.
