If John Frankenheimer was disappointed that his sequel to The French Connection didn’t boast a car chase to match the original, he certainly makes up for it here. Robert De Niro leads a star-packed spy thriller, burning rubber through the streets of Paris in one of cinema’s great action set pieces.
