A film adaptation of the critically acclaimed, award-winning series of graphic novels about Scott Pilgrim. To win the heart of a delivery girl he has fallen in love with, the besotted slacker must defeat her seven evil exes.

Post-adolescent unrequited courtship summed up to a tee by Scott Pilgrim: "When I'm around you, I kind of feel like I'm on drugs. Not that I do drugs. Unless you do drugs, in which case I do them all the time. All of them."
This is a very underrated film and also the best video game film ever made. I say that because this film is basically set up like a video game. Also how great is Mary Elizabeth Winstead, she looks sexy in every hair color. I'd fight seven evil exes for her.
I'm going to be honest: i don't get this movie. 1 - scott pilgrim is the biggest loser ever conceived. 2 - why does everything turn into a videogame? of course it's scott's mind but why the waste of CGI if it doesn't help the story? 3 - why defeat your ex boyfriends, get over it! 4 - the ending is crap because it has no moral, and that's what I despise in this movie. I really don't get this, can anyone explain to me?
As a resident of Pilgrim's hometown, I will say that "Scott Pilgrim" perfectly captures the sensibilities and spirit of Toronto -- it's not just very Canadian, it's also most specifically Torontonian. The beatnik local music scene, the neverending winters, the small town camaraderie in a big town, the slightly askew sense of humor... it's all there. Oh and the soundtrack rocks.
Scott Pligrim is one of Fantatstic genre movie,an Overblown Reality or Hyper Reality you must watch, don't think ANYTHING and DO NOT LET YOUR BRAIN ANALYZES ANYTHING when you watch this movie, just enjoy the movie and say..."what the fuck?"
Not sure why I couldn't groove to this. All of the humor sort of fell flat, I suppose, and while all the whimsical visual style was fun, it certainly didn't make up for whatever it was that made this so meh-worthy. I didn't care for the comic, either. When it comes right down to it, I guess I just hate fun.
Scott Pilgrim is a cutting-edge movie fueling with wild imaginations and pop-up graphics. Its all converge for our entertainment. There aren't any purposeful drawn-out dramatic, just cool graphics that mostly centered to comic book atmosphere with video game references. Fun!
