One of our favorite Hollywood directors, Sam Raimi, joyfully moves between blockbusters like Spider-Man and 2013’s Oz: The Great and Powerful and smart, inventive smaller films like this one, which is stacked with a great cast and tells an eerie, unusual tale full of rich atmosphere.
