Communications Coordinator, US

We are seeking someone who is looking to build their career in Communications to join our US Communications team. This role is based in New York, working with the US and Global Communications, Marketing, Distribution and Content teams. MUBI’s Communications team is responsible for global corporate and consumer communications, film and platform publicity, talent management and awards.

  • Assist Director of Communications and Communications Manager, US with all consumer PR activity
  • Assist with US campaigns for MUBI Releases, including press junkets, North American festival travel and logistics, events and screenings 
  • Work closely with distribution and marketing teams to brainstorm campaign ideas for MUBI Releases (theatrical and streaming)
  • Collaborate on ongoing and upcoming brand initiatives, including the MUBI Notebook, MUBI GO, and MUBI Podcast 
  • Assist with US awards campaigns such as the Academy Awards and Independent Spirit Awards
  • Work closely with content and marketing teams to draft programming copy for  monthly streaming releases and build press kits and pull key images
  • Collaborate with marketing team on monthly content priorities to generate ideas to create press opportunities and social conversations 
  • Assist in organizing press coverage tracking documents and campaign reports 
  • Send and track screener links for US press
  • Assist in management of US press enquiries 
Who You Are

  • Social media savvy
  • Able to work outside of regular working hours at events and film festivals

  • 1-2 years experience as an assistant or coordinator preferred, or strong internship experience 
  • Experience in film or entertainment desirable, either agency-side or in-house
  • Working knowledge of software such as Google Docs, Sheets and Slides
  • Fluent in English. Additional languages are a bonus

Salary: Dependent on experience.
