1st Pink Life QueerFest

The first Queer festival of Turkey, Pink Life QueerFest took place in Ankara on the dates of 17-24th November 2011. For the first time in Ankara cinema lovers met almost 50 LGBT themed films from 15 countries, from America to Canada, Sweden to Holland.

While pointing to discrimination and violence against LGBT people, the festival, held by Pink Life Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) Solidarity Association, created an opportunity for Queer Theory to be discussed.
