2009 TOP 10

Ah, 2009. Or, as I like to call it, The Year Of The Talking Fox. Speaking of which, I won’t defend ANTICHRIST other than “it affected me” (and that scene where She imagines herself crossing the bridge is the most Tarkovski I’ve ever seen this side of Tarkovski). I guess there’s not much controversy to the rest of the list, but anyone who says DOGTOOTH is too on-the-nose with its themes is getting a punch to the keyboard.*

*You see, because in the movie “keyboard” means a body part.
