Omitted unless transcendent: Christian fear fetishism, Harry Potter fantasy with no relationship to feminine mysticism, horror or children’s with nothing in the way of authentic practice, characters stumbling on techniques rather than actively choosing them for a substantial length of time, girls with a gift but no occult inclination. She can attain or channel god status, she just has to be earthly for much of the movie. Storybook witchery is fine if one or more of her practical elements ring authentic. I’m specifically interested in cis women, but all women and girls are eligible.

Ideally she’s been doing this for a while and is visited for consultation or shown in action at some point. Above all, she actively pursues spiritual and magickal autonomy, and is shown using one or more genuine techniques.
