An Absolute Top Twenty

If I was told tomorrow that I could only watch 20 films for the rest of my life, these are the 20 I would choose. They tend to be either long movies full of interesting characters and ideas, or simply things that make me happy (sometimes by virtue of making me sad or creeping me out). Missing from this list is the cartoon version of Watership Down released in 1978. It’s the only movie that can make me cry on cue, so it definitely belongs here and would be in the top 17.
