ANTIPODEAN ROADSHOW: AN AUSTRALIAN CINEASTE'S FAVOURITE FILMS FOR 2013

Herein constitute my favourite films for 2013 (in local and/or national release, that I first glimpsed this year from January 1st onward). I have eschewed the populist / fanboy compulsion to compile a “Top 10” list in a concerted effort to subvert the Structuralist canonising principle / twitchy-fingered listicle inclination, but if I had to explicate my choices I would qualify that the final three films revealed result in an almost-unanimous tie.
