I’ve ordered them here in the rough order in which I saw them.

I’m doing this only from memory. These stand out especially.

Almost Famous played to my deep love of music, and standardized cool for my 13-year-old self.
City of God was one of the first non-English movies I remember seeing. I fell in love immediately.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind immediately became my favorite movie ever after I saw it in theaters.
Amarcord was my first introduction to the Criterion Collection. I was 16. It’s close to the beginning of me actually paying attention to individual directors.

I rate all of these films a solid 5/5 stars.
