in progress… The Dragons & Tigers section began in 1994 at the Vancouver International Film Festival. Since then, it has been the fest’s calling card. Each year a small collection of Asia-Pacific films are curated by Tony Rayns & Shelly Kraicer (pictured below) for the competition. The purpose is to draw attention to creative and innovative films made by filmmakers who have yet to reach significant international recognition.
