What makes a movie great? And what is it that makes some movies our favorite ones? Is there an objective truth ih that ? I believe there is, otherwise a list is pointless. This is a list with some of my favorite movies ever, aiming at suggesting a certain way of appreciating great cinema. There is visual excellence, a certain appreciation of the pace, the style and the uniqueness of these films, that does not end with the finding of the meanings but does not neglect the need for meaning also.
