Of the countless films about the Classic Age (and specifically about the ancient Roman history), 99% are so accurate in recreating the ancient atmosphere that “they’ll love them in Pomona”.

As an enthusiast of this long era of the human history (1229 years!), which has seen a village of shepherds arise and take the world, I decided to compile a list that will feature all the decent (or superlative) films set in venues subject to Roman hegemony.
