First encounters

A list of films I watched as the first ones from every director of any significance for me, films that were my first encounters with their work, no matter if good or bad, no matter also if I’ve seen only that one or director’s whole filmography. Listed alphabetically by director’s last names and permanently in progress as I still have many first encounters ahead.

Director’s absence on the list means that either I haven’t seen any of his/her films or the person is rather anonymous to me (and may appear on the list after I get to know his/her works better).
