Five Star Theater

I joined MUBI in September 2014. Since then, I have ranked each movie I’ve watched as the end credits roll, based upon the following loose interpretation..

1 STAR This picture should never have been made
2 STARS A poor movie
3 STARS Films that are mostly fine but have nothing special or are significantly flawed
4 STARS For very good or highly enjoyable cinema

..and that once in a while a film deserves 5 STARS because it is exceptional somehow, fully realised or a work of art.
