Summertime and the livin’ is easy
Fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is high.

France seems ideal for a summer getaway from winter blues (i first posted this in winter cold), Rohmer the summer master. And now here the sun is shining, all round is lush green and blossoms and birdsong, and the warmth of summer is at last announcing its most welcome arrival with a deft and courteous wave of its gorgeous cape.

Abraham Valley isn’t set only in summer, but when it is, how beautiful! The roses, the oranges, the Douro valley..
