From Caligari to Hitler (50 Films)

As you might expect I just started reading Siegfried Kracauer’s landmark study of the psychological history of German film up to Hitler’s rise to power. I’ve always been incredibly interested in this period of film so I decided to make a list of the films I’ve seen from this time, roughly 1918-1933 to help myself and anyone else looking to explore this period of German cinema. The list is relatively chronological. Feel free to offer some more suggestions because I’m always down for more, particularly 1929-1933.
