Fuck Your Genre Ghettoization (In Absolutely Zero Order)

Self-explanatory: genre movies that are interesting/good cinema on their own merits, including some very un-controversial choices – but please note that while I think that all the movies listed here are good-to-great, I don’t at all believe that they’re all on the same level of quality.

(I say this because I know I’m asking for trouble by lumping together Jean-Luc Godard, Christopher Nolan and Japanese anime in the same list.)

It should also be noted that those who know me will feel zero surprise upon looking at the contents of this list.
