These are the horror films that appeal to the mind and the imagination, what the “horror film” has always meant to me, and the primary reason for my hatred of what the genre has come to mean. These are the films that make me feel like a child again, always anxious for more. Always more titles to be added in.
Yes, this is a list primarily comprised of the golden and silver age Universal horrors and Hammer. These are what I must watch yearly every October and reaffirm my adoration for Messrs. Cushing, Lee, Karloff, Lugosi, Chaney and Price.
In some kind of loose order, but Bride is easily the greatest of all horror films.
