The greatest among the giants. The quintessential film-maker. His style is the perfect mix of painting, music, poetry, architecture, sculpture and personal weltanschauung put on film. As for now, I don’t think I have ever seen in the history of Cinema other men who had in themselves high sensibility, steady craftmanship, reasonable intellectual skills and vast knowledge at the same time, apart from him.
