If cinema is the medium of the darkness and the wonderful, both face and tails of the same genesis, imaginary extrapolation of and over a figuration of the world, then cinema is youth’s world for excellence, space and time of a profusion of elements that resend us to the superlative absolute of young imaginations.
Children, teenagers and young adults have been, many often, arrested and conditioned to and by adults corseted world, but Cinema always knew how to film and love them as no art had made before, and more than that, give them back a possibility of existence above and beyond world’s contingencies.
In other words, cinema gave them a dimension. And a lot of unforgettable beauty.
And if it’s a list with no order, as usual, it begins with the child’s eyes that always inhabited me since I first saw them.
