Mannequins and the big or slight appearance in movies, I find them intriguing as they resemble nicely the human figure, and i enjoy the whole theme in horror fiction too. On the other hand I just love these big dolls with pretty human clothes and I want to track them down in movies.
In Chihuahua there’s a fascinating legend of a real human-mannequin, “Pascualita and the corpse bride of Mexico” the story says she isn’t just a mannequin; she’s meant to be the embalmed daughter of the shopkeeper Pascualita. Her daughter died in her wedding day and now she’s being kept by her mother in display with a lovely bridal’s dress. A corpse can’t be that well preserved after all that time she’s been there, but this is a strong local legend in Chihuahua and a wonderful tale too in my opinion.
NOT IN MUBI.
