Mann's Mastery

Michael Mann is one of the most important and exciting filmmakers working within America today. He defines and redefines how we perceive melodrama, hyper realism, and subjective action photography. His style is progressive and unique and he manages to capture extremely authentic moments and relationships all within somewhat traditional Hollywood techniques and limitations. I am still missing one of his films from this ranking list but here goes… I love all these films like I’d love my own children….

I have yet to see The Keep.
