Maria Schneider was a devotee of arthouse film her entire life. When she was 15 and a half she left home, lived with Brigitte Bardot and through her met creative souls in the cinema who ushered her into film roles. At a young age she saw three or four arthouse films a day in Paris. Her love of arthouse film is exemplified by the kinds of films she was a part of through the years.
