Blu-ray is a terrific development for cinephiles. Buy yourself the biggest full hd plasma screen or a HD projector, make sure it’s set for optimal viewing (calibration of the black levels and choose a cinema mode or THX mode), get yourself a region free blu-ray player and start building a library of blu-ray discs. Some blu-ray releases may be more stacked or visually appealing than others, but all will definitely represent the best possible version these movies have ever had for home viewing. Some blu-ray releases may be more stacked or visually appealing than others, but all will definitely represent the best possible version these movies have ever had for home viewing. Because I’m region free in my blu-ray viewing, some titles in my list won’t be available in all regions (but being able to buy anywhere in the world also means you can get most of these discs below for a pretty good price if you shop around).
