In these you will find films which I respond to on a highly personal level (The Life Aquatic, The Brown Bunny), others which represent a form of absolute cinematographic ideal (Gerry), and finally films which, by their boundless audacity and sheer creative genius, give me the utmost faith in the future of cinema as an art form (Mulholland Drive, Un Lac, Inglorious Basterds). And a special mention to Grizzly Man, perhaps the most unclassifiable of all these films and without a doubt the most metaphysical.
