↑ Dark City This list of poker-themed films is a work in progress. I don’t plan to include just any film which has poker in it (then I’d need to include half of all noirs and westerns ever made!) – but I do want to include any film which has at least one substantial scene of poker-playing. For now, the films are in no order – I haven’t seen half of them, so I couldn’t begin to rank them. I’ll be thrilled and rather pleasantly surprised if this list ever gets even one mubi fan. Suggestions welcome! I’d add The Mississippi Gambler (Rudolph Maté, 1953) and Born to Gamble (Phil Rosen, 1935) if they were in the mubi database. Read more
