A list focusing on films with a group of women as central protagonists. I started noticing this past summer (even though it should have been apparent) that films with several female leads have more opportunities to explore cinematic techniques and stories. They always stood out as having unique qualities besides the directors eye or the cinematography. Most on this list are usually indulgent in seemingly unconventional stories in film, or at least take a smart director to bring their stories to the screen.
