I’ve avoided making this list up until now because I felt that I hadn’t seen enough of Ford’s works recently enough to make any sort of judgement as to their relative worth, one to another; but I wouldn’t want it to be thought that I don’t admire what he achieved or think it worthy of note, so I’ve conquered my ambivalence and set these titles down in some sort or semblance of preferential order. No doubt, as I see more I’ll amend this list, as I have others, perhaps even expand it. I’m tempted to do so even now as I failed to include a childhood favorite that I saw at the Mansfield Drive-In when it was first released some fifty four years ago, the rather silly and poignant story of a young queen of the South Pacific: Donovan’s Reef.
