Ten Favorite Pasolini Films

It has been many years since I’ve seen Uccellacci e Uccellini (the Hawks and the Sparrows) and it left so little of an impression on me that I barely remember it now, but I certainly do want to give it, at least, another chance. As for Il Vangelo secondo Matteo (the Gospel according to Matthew,) I’ve seen it numerous times and, obviously, find it inferior to the films listed below, though I still admire it, despite my disbelief in the tales it relates. I’ve seen most of the short films that Pasolini made, but not his documentaries, of which I would most like to see Appunti per un’Orestiade Africana (Notes for an African Orestia.)
