In the visual arts, texture is the perceived surface quality of a work of art. It is an element of two-dimensional and three-dimensional designs and is distinguished by its perceived visual and physical properties. Use of texture, along with other elements of design, can convey a variety of messages and emotions.
I just want to find a number of significant movies where I can see examples of visual textures. The films will be selected according to their aesthetics, most noticeable in their formal aspects such as set design, filming location (whether it’s indoors, or outdoors) or other important yet subtle details. Moreover, I would like to think that these textures will spot/mark a connection between the characters and the plot (as we can see in various Antonioni films) or between characters and their emotions.
